The Trip Part 1

Lobby of Holiday Inn Airport East Salt Lake City

This is an attempt to explain what last weeks trip was like. It will take a few posts. I flew from Anchorage to SLC and Nephew Dave flew from Toronto Canada to SLC two hours after me. I flew 1st class and had a good flight as my time on layover was spent in the boardroom.

2017 Camero SS chopped roof looks cool, but pain for me

The rental car was brand new and looked sharp, had a strong V-8 and was happy with any speed limit. The low roof, windows with two positions ( up or down ) and the very long doors and short windshield make it not a car I would buy. Also, the trunk is huge, yet the lid is tiny and it is hard to load or unload. Acceleration was impressive.

We spent two nights in SLC and spent a day inside the giant dinosaur museum and made a trip to the Salt Lake and of course did the down town area. The people are very nice in this city and they have many good micro brews to explore. We were a day late to hear the famous choir practice, bummer.

Park City is a ski town in the mountains just outside of town and a fun place to visit. It was about ten degrees cooler up there also.
